We all like a good routine, myself included, and there is something quite reassuring about it. But it can get too repetitive so this week I decided to mix things up.
The start of the week usually gets off to a slow start, so instead I kicked it off with a trip to the beauty salon in my lunch break for a treat, then swung by a friend’s house for coffee after work.
The following day, I swapped a gym session for dinner with family and an overnight stay, making my commute to work shorter for ‘hump’ day which definitely put a spring in my step for midweek.
Towards the end of the week, I favoured a gym session over curling up on the sofa and then chilled out with a film. Friday was a tapas outing with a bunch of new friends in the evening with a cheeky midday gym trip.
A more chilled weekend saw me check out the local am dram in their Saturday matinee performance and then it was time to perfect my face-painting skills for Hallowe’en socialising!
Needless to say by Sunday, I was ready for some relaxing!
A reinvigorating week full of fun activities, just shows you don’t need to change much to give your week a boost.
