By the time it got to my last week in the capital, I felt like a veritable Londoner. I had become part of the commuter body and another cog in London’s gigantic wheel. I could have easily stayed on for good but there were things to return home for, so the last couple of days were filled with packing and saying goodbyes.
During my time in London I met some fantastic people, who I’ll definitely stay in touch with, and I found that not all Londoners are as unfriendly as people say there are (although Northerner’s are clearly the friendliest) but perhaps that was because of the Olympic spirit! There is definitely a lot on offer in this city for those who go out and look for it.
One thing I’ll miss is the market sellers, who always wish you a nice day and put a smile on your face, and for all the overcrowdedness at times, I’ll miss the tube. There really is something quite nice about getting up at the crack of dawn to start your journey to work.
London, it’s been a pleasure, but I’m not ready to say goodbye yet so I’ll just say until next time.
