How To Fry A Sausage

I think there’s a point in your life where you feel like you should be able to do certain things, or rather, people expect you to be able to do them. Like travel (check), sew (check), drive a car (check) and cook (debatable).

So in an effort to tick all the boxes, I’ve decided to learn to cook some proper dishes, rather than sticking with things I mastered about three years ago and have not changed since.

First up, I went in search of a recipe book. My visit to the book shop was originally to return a book I’d bought for someone’s birthday but I ended up coming out with the most brilliant cook book I’ve laid eyes on. Each recipe has less than five ingredients and, having flicked through them, they all sound like things I’d like.

You’ve got to start sometime, so I chose yesterday, a Monday, start of the week and all that. I thought I’d kick off with something relatively straight forward…fried sausages.

Prick sausages, roll in seasoned flour, fry, boil veg. Done.

One down, about another 100 to go!
